W drugiej po\u0142owie XIX wieku dostawy wody z rzeki Svratka nie by\u0142y ju\u017c wystarczaj\u0105ce dla Brna. Wcze\u015bniejsze wysi\u0142ki zmierzaj\u0105ce do taniego pozyskania wody dla Brna okaza\u0142y si\u0119 bezskuteczne, dlatego w 1863 r. og\u0142oszono konkurs na budow\u0119 nowego systemu zaopatrzenia w wod\u0119. Spo\u015br\u00f3d czterech ofert, w 1869 r. zaakceptowano najkorzystniejsze rozwi\u0105zanie, oparte na projekcie londy\u0144skiego budowniczego Thomasa Docwry'ego. Budowa stacji uzdatniania wody w Pis\u00e1rkach rozpocz\u0119\u0142a si\u0119 jesieni\u0105 tego samego roku i, zgodnie z najlepszymi angielskimi do\u015bwiadczeniami w uzdatnianiu wody, zosta\u0142a uko\u0144czona w 1872 roku. Surow\u0105 wod\u0119 z rzeki Svratki pobierano powy\u017cej jazu w Kamiennym M\u0142ynie i uzdatniano w trzech otwartych filtrach biologicznych o \u0142\u0105cznej powierzchni prawie 3 000 m2. Woda z Pis\u00e1rky by\u0142a pompowana do dw\u00f3ch stref ci\u015bnieniowych. Pierwsza, ni\u017csza, mia\u0142a zbiorniki wodne na wzg\u00f3rzu \u017dlut\u00fd, a wy\u017csza strefa mia\u0142a zbiornik wodny na \u0160pilberku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Na potrzeby nowego \u017ar\u00f3d\u0142a wody w latach 1869-1872 na wzg\u00f3rzu \u017dlut\u00fd przy ulicy Tvrd\u00fd zbudowano dwa nowe murowane zbiorniki wodne. Kolosalne podziemne zbiorniki, zadaszone systemem sklepie\u0144 i sklepie\u0144 krzy\u017cowych wspartych na ceglanych filarach i \u015bcianach, s\u0105 unikalnym elementem architektonicznym niespotykanym na ziemiach czeskich. Umiej\u0119tno\u015bci budowniczych, wyrafinowanie techniczne projektu i niesamowity genius loci tych miejsc stawiaj\u0105 te budynki w\u015br\u00f3d najciekawszych dzie\u0142 Brna XIX wieku. Kompleks wodoci\u0105g\u00f3w na wzg\u00f3rzu \u017dlut\u00fd jest jednocze\u015bnie imponuj\u0105cym zabytkiem historycznym epoki hojnego budownictwa miejskiego i cennym zabytkiem technicznego rozwi\u0105zania zaopatrzenia w wod\u0119 rozrastaj\u0105cego si\u0119 organizmu miejskiego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eksploatacja tych zbiornik\u00f3w zosta\u0142a zako\u0144czona w 1997 r., kiedy zosta\u0142y one od\u0142\u0105czone od sieci wodoci\u0105gowej i od tego czasu nie by\u0142y u\u017cywane. Obecnie miasto stara si\u0119 udost\u0119pni\u0107 te niezwyk\u0142e struktury spo\u0142ecze\u0144stwu poprzez modyfikacje konstrukcyjne.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
