Two interactive exhibitions in Brno will convince you that history is not boring, as they set history in motion so that you will almost be a part of it. At the Old Town Hall, you will be transported back to the last century, while the exhibition in the Cellar under the New Town Hall will even take you back to the Middle Ages.

The expositions at the Old Town Hall and under the New Town Hall are a 10-minute slow walk from each other and a joint ticket offers a nice discount.

At Old Town Hall you can in the exhibition called Silent heroism travel back in time with tablets, headphones and augmented reality. Specifically, you'll be transported to the Second World War or the 1950s. You'll hear the memories of people who resisted totalitarianism in both periods, and more. Thanks to the interactive screens, you can get involved in the stories yourself and experience the adventurous moments of their telling.

Mysterious Cellar under the New Town Hall takes you back to the times of mythical Brno legends, without which Brno would not be Brno. The place itself offers a contrast of ancient spaces, contemporary artists and new technologies. The local exhibition Fire Horse and Dragon will delight all the senses and playfully tells the story of the wheelwright Jiří Pirk, the Brno dragon and other characters from Brno's history. You can even experience the siege of Brno by the Swedes in 1645 for yourself. All this is presented in captivating animations.

Thanks to the joint ticket, which is valid for a month, you can visit both exhibitions at a discounted price. You can find discounted tickets online here on the Goout.net portal - select the DIGITAL HISTORY category. Physical copies are available for purchase at the ticket office of the Institute of the Memory of Nations Brno or in the information centres of TIC BRNO.

You can buy a ticket for the Silent Heroism exhibition on the day and time of your choice, and you can visit the Fire Horse and Dragon on the same day or at any time during the month-long validity of your ticket without the need to book a date in advance.

VOUCHER

The voucher must be exchanged for a ticket in person at the underground ticket office at Jakubské náměstí 1 during its validity period. The voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

We recommend making a reservation in advance by calling +420 515 919 793 or by e-mail: kostnice@ticbrno.cz. For vouchers with a discount (seniors, students under 25, children and ZPT), proof of entitlement to the discount must be provided at the Underground ticket office. The voucher for family admission is valid for 2 adults and 2 children under 15 years of age. The voucher is valid only once and for the Underground to which it is purchased. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.

 

Voucher to the ossuary of St. James

The purchased voucher to the Labyrinth under the Green Market must be exchanged for a ticket in person at the Zelný trh 21 underground ticket office during its validity period.

The voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. We recommend making a reservation in advance by calling 542 212 892 or by e-mail: labyrint@ticbrno.cz. For vouchers with a discount (seniors, students under 26, children and ZPT), proof of entitlement to the discount must be provided at the underground ticket office. The family voucher is valid for 2 adults and 2 children under 15 years of age. The voucher is valid only once and for the Underground to which it is purchased. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.
