In the bright light of a hundred candles, you can become part of the thrilling atmosphere of this extraordinary place. Your experience will also be enhanced by the compelling music of Brno composer Miloš Štědroň, especially written for this place of remembrance.
The Ossuary of St. James’ Church has been open to the public since 2012. With their own eyes, visitors can gaze upon these unique spaces, which were discovered during excavations in 2001. In terms of skeletal remains, it is the second biggest ossuary in Europe (after the Catacombs of Paris) and one of Brno’s top tourist attractions. In addition to special night-time tours, the ossuary can be visited year-round, Tuesday through Sunday, from 9:30 to 18:00.
Night tours set off every 30 minutes in groups with a maximum 25 people. The last tour is at 22:30. You can book your night tour of the ossuary by calling +420 515 919 793 or emailing kostnice@ticbrno.cz. Admission is at the normal price.
